GLORIOUS IKEBANA EGG

An Ikebana springs from a faceted crystal vase leafed in gold and pavé-sets with brilliants set atop a sumptuous egg.

Strewn with ultramarine and citron gems ringed in brilliants, silver garlands divide the egg into a patchwork of guilloche-enameled diamonds. Each golden diamond is set with a brilliant 1-carat princess-cut Swarovski gem. 

A gnarled bronze cherry branch with gold and pearl blossoms serves as a rustic but elegant egg clasp. Silver-fluted legs curve to rest on a handsome gold-leafed Empire-style tri-cornered base set with three bezel-set brilliants. 

The sumptuously enameled and jeweled egg provides a striking counterpoint to the simple Ikebana.

Enameled golden orchids share a verdigris copper branch with jeweled buds poised to burst into bloom. The fluted golden leaves of the lotus crowd a single glittering pink blossom while gold and silver fronds cast elegant shadows below.

Inside, a miniature golden temple is set in a Zen Garden. Like horns on a samurai helmet, carved mother-of-pearl beams jut from either side of the sparkling roof. A footpath of strewn pearls and brilliants leads to the temple, past a weathered stone representing a sacred mountain and surrounded by sterling-silver pebbles. 

When removed from the egg, the temple rests on four open-work legs set with jade and brilliants, evoking bulging temple lanterns.
