Perching proudly on an emerald-green guilloche enameled egg, the Vermilion Phoenix is discovered, displaying her brilliant gold and silver plumage.
Her jeweled, ruby-enameled body gives off a radiant glow below her up-swept golden wings. Flashing sapphire-blue eyes peer arrogantly from under an ornate Chinese imperial-style headdress* set with jade, Swarovski crystals, and pavé-set brilliants. Her rich matte-gold Art Nouveau tail elegantly cascades down from an impressive ruby-red, 55-carat pear-shaped jewel.
The egg is richly embellished with gold-work swags and netting, jade beads, gold engraved Chinese plaques, and round brilliants. An opulent circular clasp provides the final flourish of elegance.
Crafted from polished aventurine mounted with a gold medallion set with round brilliants. The clasp is set with a crimson 7-carat oval solitaire surrounded by pavé-set baguettes and brilliants.
Finally, the base, composed of polished agate, gilded brass, Italian marble, and gold-leafed wood, completes this mystical tableau and provides a sumptuous roost.
Opening the egg, the glittering nest of the Vermilion Phoenix is revealed.
A magnificent baroque pearl egg is proudly displayed, wreathed in golden leaves and brilliants. A fiery scarlet crystal base supports the nest, keeping the egg safe and warm.
